Why Battery Support is needed

Due to the increasing demand for software/firmware updates on vehicle control units. Battery Support has been made mandatory by all vehicles manufacturers when carrying out any vehicle programming to ensure a stable power supply with high enough amperage to allow for any spikes in demand during the programming cycle. There is a risk of damage to control units if inadequate or no battery support is being used during these diagnostic/programming operations.
